Lesson Plans
This page offers teachers lesson plans that are organized by grade level, health topic, or both.  Many include printable in-class worksheets and activities that can be taken home and hung on a refrigerator or used as homework to complete with dad.  Consistent with the mission of the Dads & Kids website, these worksheets are designed to encourage students to discuss health and fitness issues with their fathers and to exercise together.

                          Grades 3-5
                          Math:
Nourish Interactive has provided worksheets for students to count the calories in healthy and unhealthy food items commonly eaten during breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  One sheet targets high calorie, low nutrition meals (answer keys for these worksheets can also be found here: breakfast, lunch, dinner, high calorie). 

Nourish Interactive has also provided a take-home worksheet that students can use to multiply the amount of calories by the amount of servings on a nutrition label they find in their own kitchen!  To promote dads' positive involvement in guiding their children's eating habits, encourage students to do this task with their dads.
